When the worlds are on fire.
The people are out there doing the fighting.
This is the reality of the current political climate.
This week, the world saw the end of a year in which, as a community, we were united in condemning the murder of a young man in Portland, Oregon.
We were outraged by the news that his killer was released from prison early on Thursday.
The same week, a video went viral of a woman being attacked by a man who appeared to have mental illness, as the man allegedly threatened her with a knife and then stabbed her several times.
But it wasn’t just one of these horrific crimes that sparked the community’s anger.
For the past month, as news of the murder spread, a small group of us have been writing about how we feel about what has been happening in Portland.
In a world where people can be murdered, how are we allowed to continue living in a world that has no empathy?
This week on the show, we ask those questions, as well as how to better understand how to deal with those who attack us.
If you are new to our show, you can find more about what we cover on our About page.
