Asheville, N.C. (AP) A former family beauty salon has closed after a three-year renovation, but it has been left to the whims of a developer to turn the building into a new business.
The Bliss Beauty Salon & Spa, which was located in the historic Bliss building in downtown Asheboro, was one of the last of the original Bliss salon buildings to be renovated in Asheville in the late 1980s.
The building is owned by the former Bliss owners.
It closed last fall and was sold in October for $10 million.
The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
The Asheville Observer reported the owner is leasing the building, and it has not been determined whether the building will be redeveloped.
