Photo: Paul Chinn, The Next Page This week, Salon Brands, which operates Nanc’s Beauty, Salon Cosmetics and Salon Spa, will buy a second property in New York City, a shopping center at 666 Park Avenue that will include a salon.
Salon Brands said in a statement it would focus on retail operations, such as beauty supply stores and department stores, as it seeks to grow.
The news comes as more than half of Americans have seen an increase in their own salon visits in recent years, according to a new survey by The NPD Group.
The survey showed that a whopping 55% of American women have visited a beauty salon over the past year.
In New York, the number of visits to a salon has risen by 22% over the last three years, the largest increase in the nation, according the survey.
The Nancs Beauty Salon is among the largest in the world, and its sales account for almost half of the company’s annual revenue, the survey said.
The company is one of the top-grossing cosmetics companies in the United States, and is a fixture at many of the country’s most prestigious beauty shows, including the Academy Awards, where it won three Oscars.
Rosa’s Beauty is a family-owned and operated beauty salon that specializes in skin care, makeup and skincare, according its website.
The salon is located in the Central Park neighborhood of Manhattan and offers salon services and a full-service spa for women who need it.
