The Dallas Stars came into Game 6 with a 4-0 lead and were trailing 1-0 after a goal from Tyler Seguin put them ahead 1-1.
They had been playing some of the best hockey of the series in Game 4, but the Blues managed to tie the game with just over five minutes remaining in the second period, and a shot from Jason Demers put the Stars ahead 1, 1.
After the game, Stars captain Jamie Benn spoke to reporters about the moment.
“It’s a big moment in our history,” Benn said.
“We’re all so proud of what we did tonight.
It was just a huge effort by all of us.”
Stars center Travis Moen had a goal and an assist in the first period to give the Stars a 3-1 lead.
Stars captain Travis Moin had a goals and an assisted assist in Game 5.
“When we were getting a chance, we just kind of just tried to chip it in,” Moen said.
“The goal was the last thing I thought I would see.
The goal was just so easy to score.”
Moen made another big play to tie it up in the final minute, taking a pass from Jamie Benn and firing a shot over Blues goalie Alex Stalock to tie things up.
“I think the only thing I can say about it is I think the goal is a big one,” Stalocks said.
After the game Moen talked to reporters, saying he was happy with the play.
“We just need to keep working at it,” Moens said.
