Diamonds and gemstones are no longer the only items of beauty that can be found in a beauty salon, and they’re no longer seen as just for the wealthy.
With the growing popularity of salon-inspired makeup and accessories, salon-goers have been inspired to turn their favorite brands into boutique-quality products.
The first salon to do this was The Lad, a gemstone and jewelry salon in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, that was the first in the country to introduce salon-styled makeup and jewelry to customers.
As a result, The Lad is one of the first beauty salons to offer salon-style products.
Now, the Los Angeles-based salon is partnering with the New York-based beauty brand, New York City-based luxury jewelry brand, and New York Fashion Week to launch The Lad’s first ever salon-focused makeup and accessory line.
New York Magazine called the line “the first of its kind in the world” and noted that it will “create the ultimate salon look.”
The new line will include more than 100 products for a variety of eyeshadows, lipsticks, brows, and blush.
Each product will come with a full-size mirror, a custom-made, hand-painted brush, and instructions for use.
“When we started working on the line, we were inspired by how much the industry is changing, and the demand for quality products and services,” The Lad owner and creative director, Jules Mays, told The Los Angeles Times.
“The beauty industry has evolved to the point where it’s impossible to produce every product we want to, and this line is our way to provide the same luxury services and products to a new generation of women who are looking to express themselves in a fun and playful way.”
The brand plans to introduce the line to a select few customers over the next few months, and will launch the products in stores starting this summer.
While the salon’s cosmetics and accessories will be limited to a few select colors and brands, The New York Times described the line as “a complete makeup and beauty line,” and said that “everything in this line will be available for purchase, ready to use, and for women to pick up on the spot.”
The Lad will launch The New Lad Salon’s first salon-centric makeup and hair care line on November 30.
